Bite splint

A plastic, transparent bite plate, 2 to 3 millimetres thick, which is placed in one of the two dental arches in order to avoid the upper teeth coming in to contact with the lower teeth, thus avoiding wear. It is a frequent and effective treatment for bruxism.
